Logistics Manager

This new position will give the right person a great opportunity within our growing company.  Logistics is a key department of The West Group and always busy which leads to an interesting and varied job where the days fly by.

You will be responsible for Logistics output; performance and the day-to-day management of the team plus ensuring that the warehouse is managed efficiently and in support of customer demand whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.

Key skills we are looking for to fulfil this role include:
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Warehousing knowledge and experience – minimum 5 years

  • Proven leadership experience – minimum 3 years

  • Workflow and performance management experience

  • Export shipping process experience

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015

  • Be a good communicator i.e. articulate, persuasive and personable

  • Be team oriented, analytical, data driven and good at problem solving

  • Also be hands-on and resourceful

Quality Department

A commitment to quality is at the heart of everything we aim to achieve at The West Group. Our Quality Management System meets the requirements of international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 as applicable.  We develop and continually implement our QMS to document the company's best practice.

Due to our continued growth we have two new positions available – Senior Quality Engineer and Calibration & Equipment Maintenance Co-ordinator.

Both roles require someone who has a keen eye to detail and preferably whom understands the standards required for both ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.  You will be a team player with good interpersonal skills as it will be necessary to collaborate with other departments on a daily basis.

Senior Quality Engineer

  • Degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 5 years' experience in Quality Engineers position
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Management methodologies, such as 8D, Lean, Six Sigma, CAPA, 5Whys, Fishbone

  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with quality measurement equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Graphic Design and Content Developer

We are looking for a creative individual with strong attention to detail, to work within our busy B2B marketing team, to help bring a wide variety of campaigns to life across a range of digital and printed mediums.

You will handle graphic design including copywriting requests for West Group member companies by creating engaging content that is disseminated across various marketing and sales channels. These channels may include web, print, digital, online presentations, website, email and/or social.

You will become familiar with all group company brands and gain an understanding of industry content and trends to produce the most effective and creative work possible.

Key skills we are looking for to fulfil this role include:
  • Sound knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop including strong typography and layout skills
  • At least 3 years’ experience/background in graphic design and marketing environment preferably within MedTech or engineering industry but not essential
  • Strong copywriting and design skills to create polished and professional marketing materials and communications
  • Ability to work quickly from concept creation to delivery and handle range of projects simultaneously including working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and people skills, confident liaising with other departments and third parties
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high quality, commercial standards
