Facilities Assistant
This is an opportunity to join our Facilities team, being responsible for out of office hours cleaning and maintaining all company facilities to a world class standard. This is an important role due to the markets we work in and, as we welcome customer visits, building presentation is crucial.
Key skills we are looking for to fulfil this role include:
- Previous cleaning experience on a large scale
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods, as well as colour coding
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify and complete tasks without direct supervision
- Physically able to cope with labour intensive work
- Driving license preferred

Group People Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity to lead our People Team as our Group People Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle and driving the company forward with HR strategies and initiatives, managing change and restructures. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day employee relations matters, with confidence and consistency of approach.
The successful candidate will have:
- CIPD Level 5 (minimum)
- Experience of managing change within an organisation
- Experience of complex employee relations situations; including ACAS negotiations
- Previous experience working in a team and managing employees
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial industry
- Excellent knowledge of MS office; including SharePoint

Undertaking a four-year apprenticeship
"I had always wanted to go into Engineering and thought that an apprenticeship would suit me best. Apprenticeships are a great way to learn whilst working in industry as you gain a better understanding of how things are run within the actual environment. I saw an apprenticeship opening come up with TWG and was fortunate enough to be successful after applying.
I have now joined the Design Test and Validation team, and previously I was lucky enough to gain experience in Production and Manufacturing, all of which has given me a wider understanding of the company as a whole and a great opportunity to further my knowledge. I am excited to be working in the DTV department as my apprenticeship progresses over the next four years."

"Before The West Group, my career was focused on hospitality and customer service. Wanting to go in a different direction (but not sure what direction that was yet) I was excited to be welcomed into the company in an Internal Sales position.
I spent a couple of years in sales including trying my hand at export sales before moving onto new challenges.
