Positions Vacant: Engineers

This is an exciting period of growth for our company and we are on the lookout for exceptional engineers to expand our Engineering Team.

Our mission is to offer outstanding design skills, value added services and product variety to the markets we serve.  We have a unique portfolio of products, many exclusive to the group.  This is complemented by our ability to both design and manufacture components to meet specific applications.

The Applicant: We would be interested to hear from candidates with experience in the following areas:

  • R&D, including full life cycle and project management
  • Experience in the design of pneumatic components including valves, regulators, manifolds and solenoids
  • Experience in the design of injection plastic moulding
  • Medical device design including ISO 13485
  • Design for manufacture, Six Sigma, DFMEA/ PFMEA, FEA Analysis

A market rate salary, generous benefits package and 5 days additional holiday are available with this role.  In addition, employees receive a monthly staff bonus scheme, pension, life assurance and private medical cover.  Many other smaller benefits like free parking are also available.  The West Group believe in investing in people and provide opportunities for staff development and training. Full details will be provided on appointment.

Location: Based at the company's main manufacturing site in Waterlooville, Hampshire. This is close to the main A3M and M27 motorways and easily accessible by public transport.

"I had previously worked as a supervisor within the tourist industry and enjoyed dealing with people.  When the Internal Sales position came up at The West Group I applied and was really pleased to get a call saying I had got the job!
